BHRC – 2018 Star Maker Series
Further to the previous notification, the format for the Star Maker Series has been refined.
Promoters have been notified of the tender process for the heats and final – these are due back by 9th March.
Star Maker Series
A new series to cater for the lower end of the handicap. The target region being horses that have not won much money at 2YO or 3YO. The series will consist of heats and a final, which Promoters have been invited to tender for.
The series will be raced as 8 heats, staged between 5th May and 7th July and Final to be staged between 8th July and 5th August.
The date control has been set to ensure that the race series is contended over a period of time where all entries can race and qualify and compete in the final, and also when the majority of horses are in training and racing.
Entries will be minimum of 30 horses and maximum of 50. This is to ensure that all entries can be catered for over the 8 allocated heats.
Once the tenders are in and the dates and venues for the heats and final decided, these will be published to licence holders with the opening of entries.
Nominations will be £100 per horse as per conditions below.
8 Heats in total to be staged between 5th May and 7th July
