** NOTICE – 28 Day Rule **
RACE HORSES
Under section Q1[ii][g] all horses entering to race have to be declared to the BHRC as in training for a minimum period of 28 days immediately prior to ENTRY – connections of any horses not registered for 28 days will be subject to a fine (£20) and horse may not be permitted to race
• trainers MUST be licensed to declare horses in their custody, care and training
• Race payments should be submitted at least 7 days prior to first entry to race
QUALIFIERS
Under section N5[d] all horses that need to qualify have to be declared to the BHRC as in training for a minimum period of 28 days immediately prior to ENTRY – horses not registered for 28 days will not be permitted to qualify
The introduction of the above has been necessary under Horse Welfare and also to try and eliminate the number of horses entered for racing when not cleared.
