It is with great sadness that we have to report that Gwynne Higgins 
passed away peacefully on Tuesday aged 84 years.  Gwynne was a great 
character and having bought and sold horses all his life since he was a 
lad at Two Park Farm, Gorsely near Hereford he was known to so many 
people both up and down the country.  He hardly missed attending a race 
meeting in the Wales and West and Hereford and Borders areas and raced 
many good horses over the years such as Bruce Baron.  He was responsible 
for getting a great many people involved in the sport he loved and would 
always be willing to loan a horse for someone to drive and take their 
test on as it used to be in the old days.  He was known for his stories, 
his marvellous memory of the old breeding lines and his smile.  Another 
old character has gone and he will be sadly missed by many this summer.
