Oakwood Stud have nominated their super new stallion SWEET LOU (aka The Great White Blaze) to the BHRC Sire Stakes Series.

This Champion Standardbred by Yankee Cruiser, out of Sweet Future, has previously stood as a stallion for Diamond Creek Farm in Pennsylvania and at Woodlands Stud in New Zealand.

As a 2YO, Sweet Lou won ten of his twelve starts and set a World Record winning the Breeders Crown 2YO Colts & Geldings in 1.49 – a record which he still holds to date.

As a 4YO he won the Ben Franklin Free For All Pace at Pocono Downs and set a new track and World Record of 1.47 on a 5/8th track.

As a 5YO he won 10 consecutive races – six of which were straight sub 1.48 for the mile; the only Pacer in history to achieve this. Major wins include; TVG Free For All Pace (2014), US Pacing Championship, William R Haughton Memorial Pace and the Dan Patch Invitational Pace.

Awards on his CV include; 2011 American Champion 2YO Male Pacer, 2014 American Champion Male Pacer and American Pacer of the Year.

He boasts 33 career wins and earnings in excess of $3.4 million.
