A promoter has approached the BHRC asking for our help.

They have found a potential sponsor (a horse supplements provider). The company have agreed to offer a set % of income on sales to the promoter, but obviously want to be able to contact trainers by letter/email to market their products.

The promoter has assured us that all income received off the company will be put straight back into racing by increasing the prizemoney. Under GDPR regulations we would not share your details without your permission.

Over the next few weeks, the office and or directors may ask you for permission to share your data (name/address/email) with the promoter, who will then share it with the company. We have asked for confirmation that the company will (a) not share it with any others, and (b) ensure the security of data is upheld. We will also be asking you to tick a box on entry forms to confirm we could share your data.
