TROTBritain will organise 2 LeTrot races on the 10th November 2016 at Chelmsford City Racecourse. They will be added at the end of their galloping programme. TROTBritain’s representatives have been in negotiation to bring LeTrot races to the Betfred-owned Essex track for several months and the event has now been given permission by the BHA, enabling this announcement to be made . The races will attract bookmaker support on course and it is hoped that they will be transmitted into Betfred shops on the night . The races will be sponsored by LeTrot, the French governing body of Trotting , and Le Trot representatives will be in attendance along with a French driver. The races will take place under BHRC rules, with BHRC stewards in attendance, and TROTBritain thanks them for their co-operation.
TROTBritain hopes that a successful trial in November, will lead to further Le Trot races becoming a regular feature at Chelmsford City Racecourse in the future. This is without doubt a major step forward for Trotting in Great Britain and we hope everybody will give it the support it deserves.
