The voting is now open for the BHRC equine awards for the 2022 season.

The nominees in 7 of the 8 categories (2YO Colt, 2YO Filly, 3YO Colt, 3YO Filly, Overseas, Mare, Grass Horse & Aged Pacer) have been shortlisted using the same points-based system as in previous years – 1pt for a win, 3pts for a Group 2 win and 5pts for a Group 1 win (except for the new category of Grass Horse where all wins are 1pt) – and voting is open to BHRC affiliated members and all categories of licence holder.

The vote for overall BHRC Horse of the Year is also included, and the list is compiled of all of the nominees excluding those from the Overseas Horse of the Year category.

Voting closes on Friday 6th January 2023 at 8pm and the winners will be announced at the BHRC & STAGBI Awards Ceremony on Saturday 4th February 2023 at the Mercure Hotel, Haydock.
